LA MANGA DEL MAR MENOR: "THE ORIGIN OF MAR MENOR" A stroll from the port to the Estacio bridge/canal which enables boat traffic between the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor. We will keep walking to get to the lighthouse where you can learn about its history throughout time. We can see the cistern that supplied water to the lighthouse keepers and their families. Back at the port we will stop to behold the house of the ¿father¿ _of La Manga, Tomas Maestre, as well as the opening of the Estacio bridge/canal. Once the tour has finished you can enjoy the local gastronomy at the different venues in and around the port.

Free Guided Tour in La Manga del Mar Menor A walk towards the Estacio Bridge, a structure that enables communication between the two seas for vessels. Continuation of the walk to the lighthouse, where we will discuss its long history through the ages. We will also see the cistern that provided water for the lighthouse keepers and their families. On our way back to the port, we will pass by the house of Tomás Maestre, the founder of tourism in La Manga del Mar Menor, and learn about the opening of the Estacio Bridge, with the opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine around the Tomás Maestre Port.
