The programme for the 2023 edition of the Cante de las Minas The Cante de Las Minas Flamenco Festival, which has been awarded International Tourist Interest status, is held annually in late July and early August in the town of La Unión, celebrating the tradition of flamenco which grew up in the mining community of the Sierra Minera within both La Unión and Cartagena. One of the summer favourites returns to Cabo de Palos for 2026 Since it was first held in 2015 the La Hormiga hippy market has become a fixture in the summer life of the Costa Cálida, and this year the event returns to area on the way to the lighthouse in Cabo de Palos (on the esplanade in front of the pharmacy) from 11th July to 20th August.
