Abanilla
The Casa de la Encomienda was the place where the Commander of the Order of Calatrava collected taxes and the tithe from the locals. It also went by the name “Casa del Infante”, the probable reason being was because of the infante John of Austria the Younger (the illegitimate son of Philip IV of Spain) and step-brother to Charles II of Spain. Charles II was prime-minister, commander in chief and also the commander of the Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God. Since the building’s construction ought to have been completed during his tenure, it obtained the name of Casa del Infante. The two-floor building can be seen from two different areas: the northern side is vaulted and the other flat. In the basement of the vaulted ground floor there were some earthen jars measuring a meter and a half high, in where cereals, wine and oil from the tithes that La Encomienda received were kept.

Set in the beautiful regional park or El Carche Casa de la Ermita is situated in the emblematic region of El Carche, this is the second highest mountain in the region of Murcia, with an altitude of 1372 metres. It is a protected natural park, with a great variety of flora and fauna. Our winery is situated in the heart of this area, from where we can contemplate in total tranquillity our vines and fantastic views of the valley. Closer to the wine culture The poor soil conditions; stoney and limey with very little rainfalls, makes Jumilla a perfect place to grow the Monastrell grape variety. The grapes grown are very concentrated, this is then reflected in to the wines produced. The Monastrell variety is becoming well known thanks to improved production techniques, which continues to surprise those who claim to know everything about wine. The visit to our winery is an interesting guided tour of approximately 1 hour; visiting our vines, facilities and our crianza cellars. Here, you will discover our production methods, and some of the varietals which contribute personality and originality to the 'Casa de la Ermita' wines. At the end of the visit you will have the possibility to taste 2 of our wines. Alhama de Murcia
Casa de la Tercia is a barn-house located in calle Larga, and built in 1755 by order of the Marquis of los Vélez to store a third of the harvest of all grain produced in this town. Its coat of arms is declared a Heritage of Cultural Interest This is a building characterized by its simplicity of architectural forms. It is two storeys high raised with brick walls and masonry. The floor plan is square, and it is structured around four pillars that take up the central area, covered with nine sections of ribbed vault. The wooden door studded with metal ornaments, is placed in the front of the building, and it is framed with lintel, and windows that light up the building are latticed with rigorous symmetry. In its front highlights the coat of arms of the Marquisate of Villafranca and los Vélez, which was declared a BIC and as the unique decorative element of the facade. In the early 20th century, Casa de la Tercia was used as a school for theater performances and other cultural activities. Today, it is waiting to be restored. At the bottom of the coat of arms we can notice an inscription that reads: "This barn-house, property of his Excellency the Marquis of Villafranca and Vélez, was built being the General Administrator of this town Mr. Silvestre Álvarez de Mora. Year of 1755".

Pliego
La Casa de la Tercia se localiza en la calle Mayor. Esta edificación está relacionada con la conservación, control, depósito y guarda del cereal. También aquí se centralizaba el cobro de impuestos a los pobladores, una de sus más importantes funciones, además de garantizar la reserva en épocas de escasez. La función de recogida de los diezmos (la contribución de los habitantes) y su conversión en tercios ( 1/3 para la Orden, 1/3 para el Rey y 1/3 para la Iglesia), hizo que la construcción fuera conocida como la casa de la Tercia. Su ubicación en el centro de la Villa simbolizaba el poder de sus moradores. Este tipo de casas se instituyen tras la Reconquista en los territorios de jurisdicción señorial y de las Órdenes religiosas. Cuando los señores eclesiásticos y nobles fueron perdiendo capacidad de gobierno, relevados por los concejos, pasarían a llamarse “Pósito Municipal”. Además de éste, había otros pósitos, que guardaban grano para ser distribuido entre los pobres, los llamados Pósitos Píos. Se convirtió posteriormente en el edificio de la Encomienda de Santiago, construido éste en 1802, siendo comendador de la Orden Don Francisco de Borbón. Dirigió las obras el arquitecto Jerónimo Martínez Brucero de Lara. El inmueble, de estilo barroco murciano, se divide en dos plantas, con un ático de seis ósculos mixtiforme y teas a cada lado del escudo de la Orden de Santiago que hay sobre el dintel de la puerta de acceso. Esta nueva edificación sustituiría a las viejas casas de la Tercia situadas en el interior de la villa medieval, muy próximas a ésta.

Totana
Edificio de líneas modernistas, construido en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, consta de tres plantas y semisótano. La fachada consta de balcón y mirador en la primera planta y balcón corrido con columnillas en la segunda, todo ello profusamente decorado con molduras, guirnaldas e impostas. En el interior, dos atlantes flanquean el acceso a la escalera. La distribución en la planta segunda se realiza mediante una galería con patio central que se abre en doble altura sobre la primera, ampliando considerablemente el espacio y la luminosidad del interior que la recibe a través de la claraboya.

Lorca
Esta casa se edificó en el S. XVI en la parte trasera del Concejo. En su fachada destacan los escudos familiares y una imagen de la Virgen de Monserrat. Es un edificio municipal que alberga el Archivo Histórico de la ciudad, que contiene documentos de época alfonsina S. XIII.

Puerto Lumbreras
Espacio dedicado a diversos eventos culturales, colección museográfica, sala de conferencias, sala de exposiciones y de proyecciones En esta casa se realizan exposiciones temporales, acoge desde su inauguración el concurso de pintura, también cuenta con dos salas dedicadas a la GRAFOLOGIA, que recogen todo el trabajo realizado por el eminente grafólogo AUGUSTO VELS nacido en nuestra localidad
